The Hedley Heritage Ladies are re-enacting a common scene from the community’s gold mining past. They are having tea in front of one of the historic log structures at the Hedley Museum. On Sunday, June 21, 2015 (9:00 am to 1:00 pm) they will be at the Hedley Farmer’s Market located across from the main Museum building near Highway 3. They will also visit other Farmers Markets and Museums in the Similkameen Valley.
Over summer, it is their desire to create interest in Hedley’s colourful characters and rich gold strikes during the boom town years. From left to right they are Peggy Terry, Lydia Sawicki, Ruth Woodin and Lynn Wells.
