Princeton Traditional Music Festival
38 kms west of Hedley is Princeton, site of the Princeton Traditional Music Festival, taking place this year 14 to 16 August 2015. We’ll start with a big public dance until sunset on Friday, and follow it with two days of concerts, jams, workshops and presentations from 10 am to 6 pm both days. Expect to hear Celtic bands, traditional ballads, real cowboy songs, shanties and Balkan wedding music.
The Festival takes place in downtown Princeton, with one stage on the Town Square, one at the Museum and one in the Princeton Branch of the Okanagan Regional Library. Lots of vendors, too, and a chance to buy T-shirts, tote bags and performers’ CDs. The Festival is free and is supported by the town and the Regional District, as well as the Govt of BC .
